Who We Are
Wise DBT is a mental health practice grounded in evidence-based Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and PTSD treatment, delivered with compassion, skill, and integrity.
We believe that people do not exist in isolation. Relationships, families, communities, and larger systems all shape emotional wellbeing. Meaningful change often involves supporting both the individual and the environment around them.

Why this work matters: I believe that trauma can create a kind of darkness that is difficult to understand alone. Therapy offers space for expression, understanding, and growth. I can help you develop a more connected and wise relationship with yourself and your experiences in life.

Stephanie, MSW, RSW (she/her)
Works with: Adults and Youth
Clinical focus: Couples, family systems, and parents who find themselves stuck in ineffective patterns, often experiencing cycles of shame, blame, and high conflict.
Practice style: Non-judgmental, compassionate, and genuine.
Why this work matters: My approach is grounded in the belief that family involvement is essential in treatment and recovery, and are often left unsupported. You don’t have to continue navigating the ups and downs by yourself. I am here to help you and your family strengthen connection, reduce crisis patterns, and build more compassionate and resilient relationships.

Alanna, MSW, RSW (she/her)
DBT- Linehan Board of Certification, Certified DBT Clinician
Works with: Youth and Adults
Clinical focus: Difficult-to-shift emotions such as regret, loneliness, doubt, shame, and anger; PTSD and trauma-related difficulties; suicidal thoughts and actions; self-injury.
Practice style: Warm, collaborative, and genuine.
Why this work matters: I believe we do the best we can with the coping strategies available to us. When those strategies begin creating more suffering, therapy can become a place where we no longer have to carry difficult emotions and experiences alone. I want to help the people I work with build lives that feel more manageable, connected, and have more compassion toward themselves.
